BABY HUDSON : COLUMBIA, MO NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHER

2018-03-18_0001.jpg

Oh, the deep, deep love of Jesus <3

This new family of three has been in my life as a family of two for quite some time. Hudson’s momma and I go all the way back to when I was in first grade and she was in third. I kept telling Lexie, even when she was pregnant, that I could not believe that we were so grown up! It just didn’t seem real that her and Connor were coming up on three whole years of marriage and that they were welcoming a little baby boy into their home.

While they’ve been married for three years now, Lexie and Connor’s love story is far older than just that. These two were total high school sweethearts, living as an example of commitment and true love – before they could even drive.

This type of Jesus-centered, lasting love seems to be farther and fewer between these days, so I asked Lexie to jump in and take over this blog post to share more of her and Connor’s story of moving through the seasons of life together as teenagers, young adults, newlyweds, and now parents <3 Welcome, Lex! I hope y’all enjoy.

I’m so very thankful to be taking over Laura Rowe Photo and Design’s blog to share about our sweet family and the story behind us. Thanks for taking the time to get a peek into our lives!

Connor and I started dating freshman year of high school with little intention or idea that this relationship would continue on through high school and college until we became husband & wife 8 years later on August 8, 2015!

During our dating relationship, we have been through some of the lowest of lows and highest of highs together, which has only solidified our relationship that much more. We’ve now been married for 2.5 years and can honestly say that our love continues to get sweeter with time! We are truly best friends!

On March 9, 2018, we welcomed the sweetest gift into our lives, Hudson Richard Darrough. He was born at 11:13am weighing 6 pounds, 10 ounces and was 19 inches long. His middle name was my father’s name, who passed away in 2012, so it makes it all the more special to us. We are still in awe that God gave us such a sweet little guy to call our son and that he trusted us enough to be Hudson’s parents!!

Watching Connor be a dad has been such a beautiful thing and has come so naturally to him. I love watching him love Hudson and it makes me fall in love with him even more! Our marriage, our baby and the life we are creating together has all happened in God’s perfect timing and was well worth the wait!

Everyone always talks about all the hard things of parenting, especially all that happens within the first few weeks, but the positives sure outweigh the lack of sleep, crying & adjusting to a new schedule! It’s all worth it to me when I get to wake up to such a precious face and love this sweet boy all the time!  I remind myself that time flies by and to soak up each second while he’s in this newborn stage, because I’m sure I’ll miss this time when he’s bigger.

Wishing you peace & love,
