I felt like a meteorologist the entire week leading up to the Gaskins Wedding, but when I finally saw that the skies decided to pardon us for the day, I felt instantly relieved. I always wish for cool, sunny days for weddings, but for this couple, a rainy day just wouldn’t have done them justice. This couple is way too happy and way too much fun for a cloudy day.

I’ve known Kelly for quite some time, but I hadn’t met Josh until their engagement session last summer. During the session, I was blown away by his patience for her and how intent he was about making sure she got every last photo she wanted. I should also mention that it was nearly a million degrees in the middle of the day as well… not the kind of weather my grooms typically love 😉 But truly, I could instantly tell how crazy Josh was about Kelly and how at-ease and comfortable he made her feel. We spent the afternoon exploring Kelly’s parents’ land and taking pictures by the pond with their dog.

On their wedding day, I knew it wouldn’t be any different. Even with all of the excitement surrounding the big day, Josh was still Kelly’s rock, leading her through everything that day.

The girls met that morning at Bespoke Hair Company – which, talk about a photographer’s paradise with all of that natural light! I was definitely feeling lucky! – where they got their hair done and Maid of Honor, Erin, polished them off with some professional make-up. Meanwhile, the boys were (obviously) up to no good at the Broadway Hotel where they got dressed before I met them for some photos.

After getting to see each other all fancied up, we headed to their home church, Olivet Christian Church, for some photos before their ceremony. You better believe I also grabbed an incredible number of shots of Kelly and Josh’s rings and wedding details. I loved their clean and cool style.

From the ceremony, we headed to their reception at Kimball Ballroom on Stephens College campus where the two shared succulents and mini desserts with their family and friends, showed off their flower wall, and busted a move or two on the dance floor.
